- Your approved education provider will give you a visa letter, which is an official and unconditional offer of a place on a course of study.
- You need to get 10 points for your money to be able to apply as an adult student. There are three different elements of money you must show, which are the cost of your course fees, money already paid and money to be paid.
a. The money you need to show covers your course fees for your first year of study and living costs for nine months in the United Kingdom.
The amount of money you need depends on:
- how long your course is; and
- whether you will study in London, or outside London (here ‘London’ means the inner London boroughs, which are: Camden, City of London, Hackney, Hammersmith and Fulham, Haringey, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea, Lambeth, Lewisham, Newham, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Wandsworth and Westminster):

b. You can provide bank or building society statements, a building society passbook, a letter from your bank confirming money or a loan, a letter from a regulated financial institution or a letter of official financial sponsorship.
c. Your money must be held in cash. Shares, bonds, pension funds or similar savings accounts will not be accepted.
d. You must show that you have held the money for at least 28 days. The end of that 28 day period must not be more than one month before the date of your application.

You must send original documents, as well as your photographs and passport, or travel documents and ID card if you have one.
a. You must send proof of the availability of your money to get your 10 points for your money.
b. You must also send any documents that you used to get your visa letter from your approved education provider.
